Carrier is now required to comply with the requirements of the
International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), as
amended in Chapter VI, Part A, Regulation 2, which requires Carrier
to provide the Verified Gross Mass (weight) of every loaded Container
that is tendered to an underlying Vessel Operator prior to loading of
the Container on board Ship. Therefore, except as otherwise provided
on individual Web Rate Pages (TLIs), all LCL, Break Bulk, Palletized
or Loose Cargo which is tendered to Carrier to be loaded into a
Container, or any FCL Container tendered to Carrier, for movement From,
To or Thru the Ports and Points named in this Tariff will be SBJ to the
CARGO GROSS MASS VERIFICATION CHARGE (VGM) named below, which charge
shall be in addition to all other applicable charges.

a. ON LCL, AQ OR LS RATED SHIPMENTS:
At Carrier designated Origin Container Freight Station, Warehouse
or Terminal, Carrier may both measure and weigh each piece,
package or unit of cargo presented for transportation. Regardless
of Shipper's declaration of cargo dimensions, cubic volume and/or
weight, Carrier's ascertained dimensions, volume and weight shall
be deemed paramount and will be used to calculate the charges named
   in this Rule.

b. Carrier will assess the VGM charges named below on all
non-containerized cargo which is containerized for transportation
   by Carrier:

Applicable Charge will be as provided on the Web Rate Page
      specifying a VGM Charge.

2. ON FCL SHIPMENTS:
 a. When Carrier is requested or required to obtain or verify the VGM on
behalf of a Shipper of a Full Container Shipment, Carrier will
arrange to have the Container weighed at a certified scale facility
on Shipper's behalf and will advance all charges for such service
SBJ to the provision of Rule 2.11, which charge shall be in addition
    to all other applicable charges.

 b. If Shipper does provide the required VGM documentation but requests
or requires Carrier to submit or transmit such VGM documentation to
the underlying VOCC, Carrier will assess the VGM fee named below,
which charge shall be in addition all other applicable charges (See
    Note).

Applicable Charge will be as provided on the Web Rate Page
      specifying a VGM Charge.

NOTE: When Shipper submits VGM Documentation directly to underlying
VOCC Carrier will NOT assess any additional VGM charges.
