When an individual piece, package, pallet or other shipping unit is
tendered to SLGX for loading into a SLGX consolidated Container ("S"
Service - See Rule 2.1) for transportation and Shipper prohibits, requests
or advises SLGX NOT to stow any Cargo on top of, next to and/or under their
Cargo; OR when due to the nature of the Cargo tendered, or its packaging,
no Cargo can be stowed on top of, next to and/or under such Cargo within a
SLGX consolidated Container which results in empty dead space remaining in
the SLGX Container; OR when Shipper fails to tender the full volume of
Cargo booked with SLGX for loading within a particular SLGX consolidated
Container; SLGX will assess the DEAD FREIGHT CHARGE (XDBL) provided below,
which charge shall be in addition to all other applicable charges.
  
a. When Shipper prohibits, requests or advises SLGX not to stow any Cargo
   on top of, next to and/or under their cargo which results in empty dead
   space remaining in the Container the XDBL WILL BE:
  
  1. The XDBL amount specified within an individual NSA SBJ to this Tariff
      OR when no such XDBL is specified:
  2. The XDBL shall be calculated at the rate applicable
      (commodity/origin/destination) to the Cargo tendered times the amount
      of unused loadable space left empty inside the SLGX consolidated
      Container in which the Cargo is loaded; OR
  
b. When due to the nature of the Cargo tendered, or its packaging, no Cargo
   can be stowed on top of, next to and/or under such Cargo within a SLGX
   consolidated Container which results in empty dead space remaining in
   the Container the XDBL WILL BE:
  
  1. The XDBL amount specified within an individual NSA SBJ to this Tariff
      OR when no such XDBL is specified:
  2. The XDBL shall be calculated at the rate applicable
      (commodity/origin/destination) to the Cargo tendered times the amount
      of unused loadable space left empty inside the SLGX consolidated
      Container in which the Cargo is loaded.
  
c. When Shipper fails to tender the full volume of Cargo booked with SLGX
   by the Shipper for loading within a SLGX consolidated Container with a
   particular sailing date by the SLGX CFS closing date for loading within
   that SLGX consolidated Container the XDBL WILL BE:
  
  1. The XDBL amount specified within an individual NSA SBJ to this Tariff
      OR when no such XDBL is specified:
  2. The XDBL shall be calculated at the rate applicable
      (commodity/origin/destination) to the Cargo times the volume of Cargo
      Shipper failed to tender under his booking (i.e. the difference
      between the volume of Cargo booked and the volume of Cargo tendered).
