Except as otherwise provided on individual Web Rate Pages, all shipments
moving on the Rates named in this Tariff applying FROM/THRU a POL in the
United States destined TO/THRU any Port in Japan may be SBJ to the JAPAN
ADVANCED FILING DECLARATION FEE (JPAMS) named herein.  This charge will
NOT apply: 1) on Cargo which remains on board a transporting Vessel
(FROB) which calls at any Port in Japan before it is discharged at a
POD outside of Japan, 2) on Empty Containers, and/or 3) on Cargo loaded
on Platform Containers.
       
The charge specified below will be assessed to cover compliance with
Japan's Ministry of Finance, Customs and Tariff Bureau requiring the
electronic filing of Entry Summary Declarations on all cargo destined
to any Port in Japan which must be electronically lodged through an
acceptable data transmission technique with Japan's Nippon Automated
Cargo and Port Consolidation System (NACCS) within the time frames set
out in the governing regulations prior to the commencement of loading
at the United States POL.  Finally, this charge shall be in addition
to all other applicable charges.
           
1. On LCL & FCL shipments FROM/THRU POLs in the United States TO
   Ports (PODs) in Japan the applicable JPAMS will be as follows:
         
     Carrier will assess the JPAMS Charge named on the Web Page making
      reference to this Rule.
           
2. JPAMS CORRECTIONS: If for any reason, other than Carrier's error or
   omission, any correction and/or amendment has to be made to the
   data that has already transmitted to Japan's NACCS, Carrier will
   assess the JPAMS CORRECTION/AMENDMENT FEE named below, which
   charge shall be in addition to all other applicable charges.
      
   On LCL & FCL shipments FROM/THRU POLs in the United States TO
   Ports (PODs) in Japan requiring correction the applicable
   JPAMS CORRECTION FEE will be as follows:
       
     Carrier will assess an JPAMS Correction Charge equal to the amount
      named in paragraph 1. herein.
