Except as otherwise provided in individual TLIs, all
shipments moving on the rates named in this Tariff,
exiting the Port Terminals of Los Angeles & Long Beach, CA
via surface roads are SBJ to the TRAFFIC MITIGATION FEES
[TMF] (PierPass) named herein, which charge shall be in
addition to all other applicable charges.  Additionally
when a TMF is applied, Carrier will assess the TMF HANDLING
FEE named below, which charge shall be in addition to the
TMF named herein.
    
a. LCL SHIPMENTS:
   On shipments exiting the Port Terminals in Long Beach & Los Angeles
    between the hours of 3:00AM thru 6:00PM, Monday through Friday LCL
    Shipments will be SBJ to a TMF of:
    
      LCL, AQ or Breakbulk Shipments:
     
        CHARGE, If Any, will be as named in on-line tariff web rate page
     
b. FCL SHIPMENTS:
   On shipments FROM/TO/THRU Port Terminals in Long Beach & Los Angeles,
    CA:
    
    FROM/TO/THRU Ports & Points named in Rule 1.3 & 1.4, the TMF
     applicable on FCL shipments will be as provided below:
   
  1. On shipments entering the Port Terminals between the hours of 3:00AM
      thru 6:00PM, Monday through Friday will be SBJ to the Pier Pass
      charge assessed by the Port Authorities.  Such charge will be
      advanced or forwarded by the Carrier for payment with all other
      freight and charges.  Exception: This Charge will NOT apply on:
     
        A.  Empty Containers
        B.  Chassis without Containers
        C.  Containers entering the Port Terminals via the
             Alameda Corridor
    
  2. On shipments entering the Port Terminals between the hours of 6:01PM
      and 2:59AM, Monday through Thursday, or between the hours of
      6:01PM Friday and 2:59AM Monday will NOT be SBJ to any Pier Pass
      Charges.
