A duly executed copy of the shipper's export declaration, as
required by Japanese Customs, for each individual shipment
accepted for transportation, must be delivered by the
shipper to the carrier not later than 48 hours prior to the
sailing of the vessel on which shipment or shipments are to
be transported. Carrier will not issue bills of lading on

In order to insure that commodities are truly and correctly
described on the Bills of Lading and entitled to the tariff
rate, the carrier shall obtain from the shipper, upon
release of Bills of Lading, copies of shipper's commercial
invoices as submitted to Customs. Commodity descriptions on
Bills of Lading and shipper's commercial invoice must coin-
cide.
