Except as otherwise provided, the surcharges, arbitraries,
etc., stated to be applicable per "revenue ton" shall be
assessed on the same rate basis as is applied in the
calculation of freight.

Commodities which carry rate bases other than 1,000 kgs.
or 1 cubic meter (i.e., per unit, ad valorem, etc.) will
be assessed the sucharges, arbitraries, etc. on a "revenue
ton" of 1,000 kgs. or 1 cubic meter, whichever produces the
greater revenue, except as may otherwise be shown in a
specific tariff item.

If the freight is assessed on the basis of per-container
rates, then all charges, surcharges, and other assessments
for which per-container equivalents have been provided in
the applicable tariff shall be assessed on such per-
container basis.

When more than one Surcharge and/or Arbitrary, which are
stated in terms of percentages, are imposed upon the same
shipment, such Surcharges and/or Arbitraries shall first be
combined and the aggregate shall be applied in computing the
additional charges.
