a. FREE TIME AND DEMURRAGE ON EQUIPMENT REMOVED FROM
CARRIER'S FACILITIES FOR LOADING BY SHIPPER OFF THE
CARRIER'S PREMISES:
When an empty container is removed from Carrier's CY by
or for Shipper's account, Shipper shall be allowed the
Free Time specified below to return container (loaded or
empty) to Carrier's CY. If container is not returned
before the expiration of Free Time, Demurrage Charges as
named below will be assessed, which charge shall be in
addition to all other applicable charges.
1. FREE TIME - 4 (four) days, excluding Sundays or
Holidays, Free Time will be allowed for Shipper to
return each Container removed for loading. Free Time
will commence immediately upon removal of Container
from Carrier's CY and will cease on the fourth day
(excluding Sundays or Holidays) at Carrier's CY Gate is
closed, or 12:00 midnight on the fourth day (excluding
Sundays or Holidays), whichever is earlier.
2. DEMURRAGE TIME - Demurrage Time will commence upon the
expiration of Free Time as specified in paragraph a.1
above and will terminate on the day the container is
returned to Carrier's Container Yard ready for
transportation service to commence.
3. DEMURRAGE CHARGES - After the expiration of Free Time as
specified in paragraph a.1 above, all Demurrage Time
will be SBJ to the charge(s) named below, which will be
assessed per day or fraction thereof, and which charge
shall be in addition to all other applicable charges.

b. FREE TIME AND DEMURRAGE ON EQUIPMENT REMOVED FROM
CARRIER'S FACILITIES FOR UNLOADING BY CONSIGNEE OFF THE
CARRIER'S PREMISES:
Upon completed discharge of Carrier's vessel at POD, or
upon arrival of container at B/L destination Terminal if
other than POD, Consignee will have the Free Time
provided below to pickup container, to unload container
off the premises of the Carrier, and to return the
container to the Carrier's possession or control for
subsequent use.
1. FREE TIME - 10 (ten) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays
or Holidays, Free Time will be allowed on cargo in
containers to be removed by Consignee or his agent from
Carrier's CY or Terminal. Free Time will commence
on the day of vessel's arrival at POD or on the day
container arrives at destination Terminal if other
than POD. Free Time will cease on the tenth business
day thereafter at the time Carrier's CY Gate is closed,
or 12:00 midnight on the tenth business day, whichever
is earlier.
2. DEMURRAGE TIME - Demurrage Time will commence upon the
expiration of Free Time as specified in paragrapah b.1
above and will terminate on the day the container is
returned empty to Carrier's possession or control for
subsequent use.
3. DEMURRAGE CHARGES - After the expiration of Free Time as
specified in paragraph b.1 above, all Demurrage Time
will be SBJ to the charge(s) named below, which will be
assessed per day or fraction thereof, and which charge
shall be in addition to all other applicable charges.

NOTE 1: After the expiration of Free Time as specified in
paragraph b.1. above and after the first 3 (three) days
of Demurrage Time, Carrier may remove cargo from
container and discharge cargo to public storage. All
storage, transfer or other expenses incidental to the
removal of the cargo from Carrier's container shall be
for the account of the cargo.
