RULE: 2.8 - [NSA] DOCF-COMMODITY DESCRIPTIONS, DOCS & B/L FEES - LCL/FCL Eff: 01JAN2019

Except as otherwise provided in individual NSAs, or in the exceptions
named in paragraph g. herein, Shipper MUST furnish, or arrange for the
preparation of, all documentation and information required to export
cargo from country of origin, to import cargo into country of
destination, and to transport cargo through other countries between
origin and destination. In addition to all documentation, Shipper MUST
describe cargo in sufficient detail to permit Carrier to rate cargo,
and MUST at a minimum comply with the following:
a. EXPORT FROM THE UNITED STATES: Description of
commodities shall be uniform on all copies of the B/L
and MUST be in conformity with a validated U.S. Export
Declaration and Consular Documents covering the
shipment. The Carrier shall verify the B/L description
with the validated U.S. Export Declaration to insure
accuracy. Amendments or corrections in the commodity
description will be accepted ONLY if validated by
U.S.Customs and in conformity will all other shipping
documents. If shipments are NOT covered by a Shipper's
Export Declaration, as permitted by Export Control
Regulations, Shippers MUST insert the applicable
commodity Schedule B number in the Line Copy of the B/L.
b. IMPORT INTO THE UNITED STATES: Description of
commodities shall be uniform on all copies of the B/L
and MUST be in conformity with Customs Declaration or
Customs Entry and Consular Documents. The Carrier shall
verify the B/L description with other shipping documents
to insure accuracy. Amendments or corrections in the
commodity description will be accepted ONLY if supported
by U.S. Customs Declaration, Customs Entry, Consular
Documents and other shipping documents.
c. Trade names are NOT acceptable commodity descriptions.
Shippers are required to declare their commodities by
their generally accepted generic or common name.
d. Unless otherwise specified, the value of cargo, which is to be rated
in accordance with a specific value-scale provided in a governed NSA,
will be determined on the basis of the value and net weight as declared
in a validated U.S. Export Declaration, Customs Declaration, Customs
Entry and/or Consular Documents. Where there is a discrepancy between
such documents, the highest declaration shall be used to calculate
freight and additional charges.
e.1. On LCL or AQ shipments, if carrier is required and\or requested to
prepare Bill of Lading, the B/L Processing Fee (DOCF) named below
will be assessed (See Exceptions in paragraph g.):
Non-Hazardous Cargo: USD 50.00 per B/L
Hazardous Cargo: USD 250.00 per B/L
2. On FCL shipments, Carrier will assess a B/L Processing Fee (DOCF)
of: (See Exceptions in paragraph g.):
All FCL Shipments: USD 250.00 per B/L
f. When Carrier is required or requested by Shipper to Amend any
detail of a B/L (other than shipment destination) Carrier will
assess a charge of USD40.00 per amendment.
g. EXCEPTIONS:
Shipments moving on the NSAs named below either include (are NSbj to)
the DOCF named herein or are SBJ to Exception amount shown, unless
and until an amendment thereto removes this Exception:
NSA DEMO003: - This NSA EXPIRES with 31 December 2020
All Shipments NSbj to DOCF named herein.
NSA DEO010: - This NSA EXPIRES with 1 December 2020
All Shipments SBJ to a DOCF of USD25.00 per B/L.
