As required by U.S. DOT guidelines, all cargo and equipment are subject to
being weighed. Any load in excess of 80,000 lbs. total vehicle gross weight
will require a special overweight trucking permit. This requirement
applies to:
(a) equipment measuring a minimum of 51 feet outer bridge. Any equipment
measuring combinations less than 51 feet outer bridge cannot be
permitted, or
(b) exceptions otherwise stated within Carrier's tariff.
If Carrier is requested or required to obtain an overweight trucking permit
the charge as shown below will be applied if the container travels on the
road for each state that it must travel through: Note: Even when a legal
overweight permit has been obtained, if the equipment is not loaded
properly and becomes overweight on axles, the Customer can still be subject
to fines.
