a. LCL SHIPMENTS:
   Except as otherwise provided in individual TLIs, Carrier
   will assess the CLEAN TRUCK HANDLING FEE (CFT) named
   below on all LCL shipments moving on the rates named
   in this Tariff, FROM or TO the Ports named herein which
   enter or exit the Marine Port Terminals of Los Angeles &
   Long Beach, CA via surface roads, which charge shall be
   in addition to all other applicable charges.
    
 1. On shipments FROM or TO the UPS CFS Terminals in the
     Long Beach/Los Angeles, CA Commercial Zone moving thru
     the Port Terminals of Long Beach and Los Angeles, CA:
    
    FROM/TO/THRU Worldwide Ports & Points named in Rule
     1.3 and 1.4, the CTF applicable on LCL shipments
     will be:

b. FCL SHIPMENTS:
 1. Except as otherwise provided in individual TLIs, and
    EXCEPT when Beneficial Owner of the Cargo (BOC) makes
    independent arrangments to directly pay all Clean Truck
    Fees applicable on FCL shipments, all FCL shipments
    moving on the rates named in the Tariff Rate Sections
    SBJ hereto, which enter or exit the Marine Port
    Terminals of Los Angeles & Long Beach, CA via surface
    roads will be SBJ to the CLEAN TRUCK FEE assessed by
    the Port Authorities.  Such charge will be advanced or
    forwarded by the Carrier for payment with all other
    freight and charges.
    
 2. Before Carrier will handle any FCL Container entering or
    exiting the Marine Port Terminals named above, every BOC
    MUST enter into an agreement with the Carrier specifying
    payment arrangements and disposition of any container
    demurrage charges that result from Clean Truck
    requirements.
