Carrier is now required to comply with the requirements of the
International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), as
amended in Chapter VI, Part A, Regulation 2, which requires Carrier
to provide the Verified Gross Mass (weight) of every loaded Container
that is tendered to an underlying Vessel Operator prior to loading of
the Container on board Ship.  Therefore, as provided on individual Web
Rate Pages (TLIs), all LCL, Break Bulk, Palletized, Loose cargo which is
tendered to Carrier to be loaded into a Container, or which is tendered
to Carrier as a full containerload shipment, for movement From, To or
Thru the Ports and Points named in this Tariff will be SBJ to the CARGO
GROSS MASS VERIFICATION CHARGE (VGM) charge named in the Rate (TLI)
making reference to a VGM charge, which charge shall be in addition to
all other applicable charges.
