Except as otherwise provided in an individual rule or rate item named in
this Tariff, or in the governing Rules Tariff, Shipper Owned Equipment
(SOL) will be accepted and transported by Carrier SBJ to Carrier s
acceptance and SBJ to the provisions and charges named below. Caribtrans
will NOT assume any liability for the condition of shipper loaded cargo or
equipment.
Carrier will accept SOL Equipment SBJ to the following conditions and
restrictions:
a. SOL equipment tendered for transportation must meet all applicable ISO
Certification requirements and must have a valid CSC plate or current
ACEP decal. Carrier will assess the SOL PROCESSING & REGISTRATION
DOCUMENTATION SURCHARGE (SOLPR) named below for verifying, processing &
registering all SOL Containers tendered to the Carrier for
transportation, which charge shall be in addition to all other
applicable charges.

b. Shipper or Carrier loaded Cargo transported in or on shipper-owned
equipment will be rated at the FCL rate applicable for the commodity
loaded within the equipment as published herein. Cargo that is
prohibited by, or is in violation of Rule 2.3 (Prohibited Cargo) of
Carrier's governing Rules Tariff may NOT be included in or on a loaded
Container/Equipment. Carrier will NOT, and will refuse to transport any
SOL Equipment, when cargo loaded in or on such SOL Equipment is in
excess of any legal limit; nor will Carrier accept or be required to
transport cargo that is in excess of the SOL Equipment s stated
capacity. Shipper or their agent shall be, and will remain, responsible
for following all requirements of the Intermodal Safe Container Act.
