Rates, Rules, Provisions, Surcharges and Assessorials named in this Rules
Tariff, and in Rate Tariffs or NRAs governed by this Rules Tariff, apply on
cargo transported BETWEEN United States Atlantic, Gulf or Pacific Coast 
Ports, Great Lakes Ports, United States inland Points and Ports or Points 
in the U.S. Territorial Possessions named in Rules 1.1 and 1.2 of this
Rules Tariff, on the one hand, AND, on the other, Foreign Ports and Points
named in Rules 1.3 and 1.4 of this Rules Tariff.  
  
Rates named in Rate Tariffs or NRAs SBJ to this Rules Tariff, applying
from/to Ports or Port Location Groups are local commodity rates and may be
combined with any outport or inland point arbitraries named in this Rules
Tariff or in any Rate Tariff or NRA SBJ to this Rules Tariff.  Rates named
in Rate Tariffs or NRAs SBJ to this Rules Tariff applying from/to inland
Points or Point Location Groups are through intermodal commodity rates.  
Except as otherwise provided on individual Web Rate Pages in Rate Tariffs
or NRAs SBJ to this Rules Tariff, all rates shall also apply as
proportional commodity rates applicable on cargo having a specific prior or
subsequent transportation movement.

Rates, Rules, Provisions, Surcharges and Assessorials named in this Rules
Tariff, and in the Rate Tariffs or NRAs SBJ to this Rules Tariff, apply via 
any of the related NVOCCs named below.  Further, the same Rate, Rules, 
Provisions, Surcharges, Assessorials and Bill of Lading Terms and 
Conditions named herein and in the Rate Tariffs or NRAs SBJ to this Rules
Tariff, are applicable to every shipment transported by any of the NVOCCs
named below and will apply regardless of which NVOCC service is utilized.
