Rates and charges named in this Tariff, in NRAs, or in Rate Tariff TLIs,
governed by this Tariff, do NOT include marine or any other insurance
maintained for the benefit of the cargo, NOR do they include any
Consular or Customs Duties, Fees or Clearance Charges.
   
1. CONSULAR AND/OR CUSTOMS DUTIES & FEES:
     
 a. The Shipper and Consignee shall be and will remain severally and
    jointly liable for all Consular and/or Customs Duties and/or Fees,
    along with all Customs Clearance Charges assessed upon the arrival
    of the cargo at destination or POD.  Cargo which cannot be cleared
    through Customs for any reason whatsoever, will be stored and/or
    warehoused by the Carrier at the risk and expense of the cargo,
    OR, returned to origin upon Shipper's instructions, OR, turned
    over to Customs Authorities without any further responsibility or
    liability on the part of the Carrier.
   
 b. Any damage, deterioration or loss of cargo, and any fine imposed
    by Customs Authorities or other legal authorities at destination,
    as a result of Shipper's, Consignee's or their authorized Agent's
    failure to comply with Customs or Consular regulations or
    requirements, or as a result of any errors or omissions in
    documentation or shipping information/instructions supplied to
    Carrier, shall be for the account of the cargo.
   
2. MARINE CARGO INSURANCE: Upon the specific request of Shipper,
   Consignee or their authorized Agent Carrier will provide Cargo
   Insurance up to the maximum amount specified on the applicable Web
   Rate Page (TLI) or NRA at the charge specified therein.
         
 a. Shippers desiring Carrier to arrange insurance coverage for cargo
    value in excess of Carrier's stated liability (See Rules 8 and 12)
    MUST notify Carrier, in writing, of the amount and type of insurance
    coverage desired and requested, PRIOR to commencement of
    transportation service.  Insurance coverage will then be arranged and
    effected, subject all the restrictions, limitations and exclusions
    specified in the Insurance Carrier obtains, upon Shipper's payment of
    the applicable insurance premium. Carrier will provide a firm quote
    of the current premium for the insurance coverage requested upon
    request.
   
 b. Any Shipper or Consignee (or their authorized Agent) may decline to
    request insurance coverage on all, or on any individual, shipment
    tendered for transportation for the account of the Shipper or
    Consignee.  In such cases Carrier's liability shall be limited to
    the terms and amounts specified in Carrier's regular Bill of Lading
    (See Rule 8).
  
 c. Unless otherwise specifically requested by Shipper, Consignee or
    their authorized Agent, insurance converage arranged and provided by
    Carrier includes andy and all damage occuring while cargo is in
    Carrier's possession, as well as, the theft of, loss of, or
    non-delivery of the cargo.
