Should any Customs Service or other governmental authority order or
require cargo to be subject to inspection or examination (whether or
not cargo must be discharged or unloaded from the container), or should
any Customs Service or other governmental authority impound, seize or
detain cargo or a loaded container for any reason, all charges and
expenses, including any applicable unloading, reloading, storage,
demurrage, detention or container per diem charges, will be for the
account of the cargo.  Moreover, Carrier will NOT assume or accept any
risk or liability for the actions or omissions of such Customs Services,
governmental authorities or their agents.
     
When Customs Service orders an X-Ray or an Intensive Examination of the
container or its cargo contents, Carrier will assess the charge named
below, which charge shall be in addition to all other applicable charges.
    
  1. On Shipments SBJ to a Customs X-Ray Examination, Carrier will
     assess a Handling Charge of:
    
       US$ 6.00 W/M, as freighted.
    
  2. On Shipments SBJ to a Customs X-Ray Examination AND when Carrier
     is requested or required to notify Consignee, their Agent or Broker
     of such action, Carrier will assess a Handling Charge of:
    
       US$ 8.00 W/M, as freighted.
     
  3. On Shipments SBJ to an Intensive Customs Examination, Carrier will
     assess the net charge for such examination calculated on a
     pro-rated W/M basis (whichever is greater) to each Consignee PLUS
     Carrier will assess a Handling Fee of 10% (ten percent) of the
     determined pro-rated charge.
   
  4. On Shipments SBJ to an Intensive Customs Examination AND when
     Carrier is requested or required to notify Consignee, their Agent
     or Broker of such action, Carrier will assess the net charge for
     such examination calculated on a pro-rated W/M basis (whichever is
     greater) to each Consignee PLUS Carrier will assess a Handling Fee
     of 20% (twenty percent) of the determined pro-rated charge.
