Except as otherwise provided on an individual Web Rate Page (TLI) in any
Tariff governed by this Tariff OR in any NSA governed by this Tariff, when
the underlying VOCC or Port Terminal Authority listed herein assesses the
additional charge(s) listed below, AIF LAX Inc. will pass thru such
charge(s) for payment to the Shipper, Consignee or other party responsible
for the payment of freight and charges.  Carrier will pass thru such
charge, at cost, without markup and without absorbing any portion of such
charge.  Charges that are passed through for payment will be indicated
clearly on AIF LAX Inc.'s rated B/Ls and/or Freight Invoices as a separate
line item.  It is understood that by booking Cargo with AIF LAX, Inc.,
Shipper agrees to the payment of the charges named below in addition to all
other AIF LAX, Inc's charges for freight and additional Tariff charges, and
which charge shall be in addition to all other applicable freight and
charges.
  
a.    APPLICABLE UNDERLYING VOCC SURCHARGE(S) LISTED BELOW IS(ARE) TO BE
         PASSED THROUGH AS SPECIFED IN THE CARRIER'S FEDERAL MARITIME
         COMMISSION REGULATED TARIFF OR THE SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THE
