Except as otherwise provided in an individual NSA, or as specified below,
all shipments moving on an applicable rate named in a governed NSA will
be SBJ to the JAPAN ADVANCE FILING DECLARATION FEE (JMD) provided
below, which charge shall be in addition to all other applicable charges:
  
a. JAPAN: Any shipment moving on any applicable Rate named in a governed
   NSA which apply FROM/THRU any POL in the United States, Destined
   to any Port in Japan will be SBJ to the JAPAN ADVANCE FILING
   DECLARATION FEE (JMD) named herein, EXCEPT (1) Cargo which will
   remain on board a transporting Vessel (FROB) which calls at any
   JAPANESE Port before it is discharged at POD outside of Japan,
   (2) Empty Containers, and/or (3) Cargo loaded on Platform Containers
   will NOT be SBJ to the JAPAN ADVANCE FILING DECLARATION FEE named
   below.
  
   The charge named below will be assessed to cover compliance with the
   Japan's Ministry of Finance, Customs and Tariff Bureau requiring the
   electronic filing of Entry Summary Declarations on all cargo destined
   to any Port in Japan which must be electronically lodged through an
   acceptable data transmission technique with Japan's Nippon Automated
   Cargo and Port Consolidation System (NACCS) within the time frames
   set out in the governing regulations prior to the commencement of
   loading at the United States POL.  Finally, this charge shall be in
   addition to all other applicable charges.
  
  1. On FCL shipments FROM/THRU POLs in the United States TO
     Japanese Port the applicable JMD will be as follows:

b. JMD CORRECTIONS: If for any reason, other than Carrier's error or
   omission, any correction and/or amendment is made to the data that
   was already transmitted to the JAPAN'S NACCS, Carrier will assess
   the JMD CORRECTION/AMENDMENT FEE named below, which charge shall
   be in addition to all other applicable charges.
  
  1. When a Correction/Amendment must be made to any JMD transmission
     that has already occurred the applicable JMD CORRECTION/AMENDMENT
     FEE will be as follows:
