Except as otherwise provided in an individual NSA or as specified below,
all shipments moving on an applicable rate that applies TO any inland
point in the United States or Puerto Rico that is named in a governed NSA
that indicates such shipments are SBJ to the EMERGENCY INTERMODAL SURCHARGE
(IES) provided below, or are SBJ to "Additional Charges named in the UPS
Governing Rules Tariff," will be SBJ to the IES amount shown herein, which
charge shall be in addition to all other applicable charges (SBJ to
Note 1):
     
a. Shipments TO Inland Points in the United States which are SBJ to a rate
   which indicates that UPS will provide a destination inland Service to a
   Container Freight Station (S), a Container Yard (Y), or a Door (D)
   when moving Via USAG Destination Ports will be SBJ to the IES named
   below; AND: Shipments TO Inland Points in Puerto Rico which are SBJ to a
   rate which indicates that UPS will provide a destination inland service
   to a Container Freight Station (S), a Container Yard (Y), or a Door (D)
   when moving Via PR Destination Ports will be SBJ to the IES named below:
  
 1. On LCL Shipments (Destination "D" or "S" Service) when moving via MT or
    MR inland transportation service (See Rule 2.102) the IES will be:

 NOTE 1: Any U.S. Import Shipment, SBJ to an NSA governed by this Tariff, 
   in which the Merchant's (NSA Signatory's) nominated Trucker has been
   engaged to provide the inland United States destination carriage service
   will NOT be Subject to the Emergency Intermodal Surcharge named herein.
