When 2 (two) or more commodities are shipped at one time by
1 (one) Shipper to 1 (one) Consignee at 1 (one) Destination
on 1 (one) B/L for which different rates are provided in
this Tariff, the separate rates applicable to each
commodity will apply, SBJ to the following exceptions and
SBJ to the exception provided in Rule 2.29.
a. If actual weights and/or measurements for each
individual commodity are not obtainable, charges for the
entire shipment will be computed at the rate applicable
to the highest rated commodity in the shipment.
b. If 2 (two) or more commodities are tendered in a shipper
packed container (SBJ to Rule 2.23) and the rates for 1
(one) or more of the commodities in the shipment are SBJ
to a minimum requirement per container, the rate to
apply on each commodity will be the rate which would
apply if such commodity were tendered as a straight
shipment with a weight, measure or package/carton count
the same as the weight, measure or package\carton count
of the entire mixed shipment in each container.
The minimum requirement for each container will be the
highest applicable to any commodity in the container and
any deficit in weight, measurement or package/carton
count will be charged for at the highest applicable rate
to any commodity in the container.
c. Application of Mixed Commodity Rate Items named in Items
beginning with "99":
Except as otherwise specifically provided in individual
TLIs, shipments moving on rates named in any Rate
of Tariff Item beginning with the numbers "99" MUST
consist of not less 3 (three) of the commodities named
in the Commodity Description (unless only 2 commodities
are named in which case the shipment must container both
commodities), with no 1 (one) commodity exceeding 95%
(ninety-five percent) of the total cargo weight per
container. When Mixed Commodities are tendered to
Carrier, a packing list MUST be furnished to Carrier
prior to the commencement of transportation.
